在這個無論天氣或政治上均山雨欲來的星期日，我想請各位香港人把目光集中在遠處的朋友身上。
相信沒有誰不感受到香港正面對前所未有的難關，除了香港人在力撐，有不少海外朋友也一直在力挽狂瀾，盡力將香港人的聲音傳遍世界，例如在英國，就有由Benedict Rogers領頭的Hong Kong Watch。
香港很多團體包括公民黨，都做了很多國際連結工作，聯繫各國政府、議會和公民社會，呼籲他們支持香港人爭取民主。Ben及他的團隊一直盡心盡力幫忙，沒有他們，過去幾年香港議題必然會更加困難才會獲得國際社會關注。事實上，成功爭取英國政府考慮擴大BN(O)持有人的權益，Hong Kong Watch可說是居功至偉，而他們可不是受益人呢！

On a gloomy Sunday before an approaching storm, both politically and literally, I would like to ask fellow Hongkongers to look beyond our borders and see our supportive friends abroad…
Hong Kong is in an unprecedented crisis, we all know that, but who is working to salvage the situation and trying to prevent further degeneration? Giving credit where it is due, the Hong Kong Watch team led by Benedict Rogers are the true heroes who have fought very hard to make Hongkongers’ voices heard, not only in the UK but everywhere in the world.
Many groups in Hong Kong including the Civic Party tried to rally support for Hong Kong’s democracy through international engagement on governmental, parliamentary and civil society levels. The Hong Kong Watch team was tremendously helpful. Indeed, progress in expansion of BN(O) rights in the UK should be attributed to the hard work of Hong Kong Watch, more than anyone else’s.
Now Hong Kong Watch is crowdfunding resources to support its important work for Hong Kong. Please show your support for this organisation deeply committed to the liberty and welfare of Hongkongers. Thank you!
